He completed his dental degree (DDS) at the top-ranked University of Michigan School of Dentistry and his distinguished endodontics specialty at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (MMSc).

His practice focuses include evidence-based dentistry, clinical technology, practice innovation, and multidisciplinary care — ideals and methods developed through his extensive training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (2014), Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia (2015), and Harvard School of Dental Medicine (2018).
Besides dentistry, Dr. Kuo holds extensive medical knowledge and experience from treating medically compromised patients. He aims to be an impactful healthcare leader, following the example of the recent acting director of the National Institutes of Health, who is also an endodontist.
Do You Need a Root Canal?
A root canal is a specialized procedure to remove an infection from the pulp (the living tissue) inside your tooth. Common signs you might need one include:
Persistent, Severe Toothache
Extreme Sensitivity to Hot or Cold
Swollen Gums
Darkening of a Tooth
Ignoring these symptoms can lead to a painful abscess or tooth loss.
The Gentle, Modern Root Canal Process
Forget the myths—modern root canals are virtually painless. Dr. Kuo uses state-of-the-art equipment and effective local anesthesia to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the procedure. The process involves gently cleaning the infected canal, filling it, and sealing it. Most patients report that it feels similar to getting a simple filling. Contact our dental clinic in Kissimmee to learn more.
Advanced Endodontic Technology
Our commitment to excellence includes investing in the best technology. Crown Dentistry utilizes digital X-rays for a precise diagnosis, allowing Dr. Kuo to see your tooth's intricate anatomy. He then employs specialized microscopic tools to navigate the root canals, ensuring all infected tissue is thoroughly removed for a lasting, successful outcome.
After Your Root Canal: Recovery and Care
After your treatment, your tooth will be sealed with a temporary filling. We will schedule a follow-up to place a permanent restoration, usually a custom dental crown, to protect the tooth from future damage. You may feel mild sensitivity for a few days, but this is easily managed with over-the-counter pain relievers. We provide complete post-op instructions.
